Portraits and sprites I made while working with RPG Maker VX Ace and the original Game Character Hub.
Skunk was the first character I designed, followed shortly after by Dragon, and they are the only characters I ever bothered to make multiple portraits for. After those two, I designed Vulture, the other eleven gods of old, Casino, Platypus, and finally Lydia, before moving on to RPG Maker MV.
One of my first test projects was a small mess of ideas where you played as Skunk and Vulture as they traveled the land, fighting monsters and raiders and helping townspeople on their episodic adventures. I don't know if I'll still give them their own game together, but they should certainly have opportunities to run into each other and reminisce. I like the idea of Skunk largely being a non-player or side character, but would love to give her her own adventure at some point. I'm really leaning toward the idea of spin-offs with her, and can totally picture her in a dungeon crawler or a platformer, but I doubt I could ever pull off anything that ambitious.
Casino Grayleaf was a young child protagonist I had planned for a more serious coming of age story, which I still plan to get to doing some day. Platypus was an eccentric and ambitious scientist who was planned to play an important role as one of the main characters in a story, something I still want to do in the future. Lastly, there is a portrait of Lydia VanVoder in her RPG Maker VX Ace incarnation. While I never designed additional portraits or sprites for her in VX Ace and kept her and the idea of Lydia Story on the backburner, her adventures in MV have now been moved to the forefront and have become my primary focus.
